Okay, so this is a bit of an exaggeration, so read it as tongue-in-cheek. It’s a reference to Full Metal Jacket. Anyway, this webpage you are currently viewing is my webpage, hosted on my own server box, at my home. I currently host the following services:

SSH access, so I can IRC from anywhere and idle my arse off;
Apache 2, PHP5 and MySQL 5.0.67 for this website;
Fileserver: all my music, cartoons (Spongebob , Family Guy, Southpark, Stripperella), recorded videos and pictures are shared in my home network using NFS, which I ocassionally share to the interwebs;
SqueezeCenter, which I use to stream my music over internet (using HTTP) to where-ever I am.

Server specs

As you might have guessed, this box is running Linux – Ubuntu in particular. The specs of it are as follows:

Mainboard: Intel DG31PR
CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU E1200 running @ 1.60GHz
Memory: 2x 512 MiB RAM (DDR, running at 800 Mhz)
Onboard video controller (unused, not hooked up)
Onboard audio controller (unused)
Harddisk 1: Seagate ST3160815AS, capacity 149GiB (this is mounted to root), ext3
Harddisk 2: Seagate ST31500341AS, capacity 1397GiB (this one is mounted as a shared directory), ext3
DVD writer

My internet connection: 2 Mb/s downstream, about 700kb/s upstream (so no, it won’t survive a slashdotting )
